28 mm Mirliton - Thomas Duerrschmidt

Thomas is currently working on a diorama depicting the army of Florence in the year 1260, on their way to the battle of Montaperti. The diorama will consist of a carroccio, the guarding knights, foot soldiers and a baggage train.  He's using figures from Mirliton's 28 mm Communal Italian Range which are available via special order from Vexillia for UK customers.

He has already finished the infantry and posted some pictures on Steve Dean's Painting Forum and has kindly allowed them to be posted here.

The character, colour palette and overall detail are truly impressive as these close up show:

Thomas has already mentioned that he will shortly be uploading photos of the carroccio and the martinella and only has the guarding knights to paint.  Now that's something to look forward to.
