Corvus Belli 15 mm - Matt Standen

This post is a first because not only do I have some excellent painting to show you but I also have an account of their recent performance on the table. So without further ado I’d like to introduce Matt Standen’s  Principate Romans:

The Corvus Belli miniatures were painted with Vallejo Game Colours, protected with Testor’s Dull Cote & based on steel bases.  All the shields in Matt’s army are transfers.

The army was used by Matt at this year’s Warfare (Reading, UK).  He came 15th (of 35) in the Field of Glory Classical themed competition with one win, two draws and one loss.  So they’re not only pretty but effective too.

Matt converted a few of the Cavalry figures to give a few different poses (a mix of CB219, CB220 & CB221).

Matt also gave the  auxiliary foot spears ( a mix of CB212 & CB213).

Virtually all the miniatures are Corvus Belli but there are a few Essex figures used for the commanders:

Last but not least: you know who!
