15 mm Baueda - Peter Callan

I spotted this in a post on the soon to be defunct Fanaticus forum.  It was part of a photo gallery from Greg Kelleher featuring his recently acquired medieval DBA army based on Ridley Scott’s movie “The Kingdom of Heaven”.

It uses Baueda's large Byzantine command tent 15BYZB to create a DBA camp element worthy of Baldwin IV. The model is larger than most Baueda models with a 65 x 65 mm footprint.

Greg’s commissioned Peter Callan to “emulate the palette found in the movie” which I think he’s done really well indeed.  The tree and tufts are by Barry Scarlett.

The above shows how Peter has worked with the colours of Baldwin’s standard and incorporated them into the pattern for the tent.  A brilliant piece of freehand design.  Do click on the image for a larger view.

If you’d like to see more photo’s of Greg’s army and Peter’s brushwork then there’s more here (as long as the Fanaticus forum survives).  Well worth a visit.
